Salt Flats

Getting the opportunity to get out and travel whilst on exchange allowed me to visit some pretty unique places with a bunch of like-minded people. While I was away, I was lucky enough to get a chance to hire a 4x4 and drive out on to an enormous salt flat with some friends. It's essentially an ancient dried-up sea where the salt now spreads out as far as the eye can see and since it's so big, your perspective when taking photos is completely off. Naturally, we ended up spending quite a long time messing about with the camera getting shots like this. Getting to drive across such a strange landscape was a completely surreal experience and I'm really grateful to have had a great group of mates to enjoy it with.
