Entry Guidelines

The entry guidelines are as follows:

  1. There are 3 categories to submit your photo within:
    • People : People you have met or you have seen that you will remember long after your exchange has ended.
    • Places: Places that you visited on your exchange that meant the most to you
    • Once in a lifetime: A unique experience that only happened to you because you were on exchange
  2. You should provide a short description about your photo
  3. Photos must be formatted into JPG or PNG file, resolution at least 220dpi, max filesize: 3MB, CYMK format
  4. The prizes are as follows:
    • Overall Winner £100
    • 3 x Category 1st Place £75
    • 3 x Category 2nd Place £50
    • 3 x Category 3rd Place £25
  5. Voting will be online and open to all Strathclyde University Staff and Students. Details of how you can participate in the voting will be sent to you after the closing date.
  6. Photos will be displayed on Level 2 of the Library from Saturday 7th October until Friday 27th October. Winners will be announced in early November. 

Terms and Conditions of University of Strathclyde Photo Competition

  1. By participating in the competition, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of the competition administrators. All decisions on selecting the winner are final.
  2. All participants must be a full time Strathclyde student who has taken part in an exchange in academic year 2016/17.
  3. By submitting these images, the entrants thereby grant the University of Strathclyde the right to use, display, publish, caption, affix logos to, and otherwise make use of the submitted work or other information in any and all media for the promotion of study abroad.
  4. By submitting an entry, entrants thereby represent and warrant that the submitted work or information does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third party.
  5. Each student is limited to one prize only.
  6. The Competition Administrators reserve the right to remove any entries from the competition that they feel may breach or contravene laws of public decency or are not in the spirit of the competition.
